Friday Night Dance Party

This Dance Party's Theme is Hearts and Happiness!

Join us for our next Friday Night Dance Party on Friday, February 6 from 6:00 to 7:30 pm at the Madison Youth Arts Center (MYArts) on the fourth floor. Our Friday Night Dance Parties are open to people 16 and older with and without disabilities. We will have music, refreshments, and a dance floor waiting to be used! Outfits that match our themes are not required.

Tickets

$5 per participant

To make sure we have enough refreshments on hand, we kindly ask that you reserve tickets online in advance of the event. Attendees that purchase tickets online will have express-check-in, meaning you can get to the dance floor faster! Tickets will also be available at the door.

You can now submit a song request ahead of time when you reserve your ticket online! We ask that only one song per ticket is requested. To keep the vibes strong, we will only play songs appropriate for this setting.

How do I know if this event is accessible for me and my guests?

Where can I park?

MYArts has a paid parking garage accessible off of Ingersoll St. This garage has accessible parking spots. Vehicles with disability parking placards can park for free in the MYArts parking garage. Please stop by the front desk to validate your parking. Parking is free for under 15 minutes, so if you are dropping off a guest who is using a mobility device, this may be a good place to coordinate drop off and pick up.

Additional street parking is available on the streets surrounding MYArts. For up-to-date street parking infromation please refer to the City of Madison's street parking map.

Guests may also be dropped off on the corner of East Mifflin Street and Ingersoll Street where there are accessible curb ramps.

Where do I go?

The Madison Youth Arts Center is located at 1055 E. Mifflin Street, Madison, Wisconsin 53703.

Whether entering through the main entrance or garage entrance, you will enter in the first-floor lobby. AFA will have ample signage and greeters to direct you once you enter. You are always welcome to stop at the front desk in the lobby to check in with the MYArts staff for directions, too.

What is the dress code for this event?

You are welcome to take part in each of our themes, or come dressed in the way that makes you most comfortable to get your groove on.

Dance Along with Sarah

Learn some dance moves in preparation for Friday Night Dance Party! Our Director of Dance Education, Sarah Jacobson, has recorded videos of choreography for sitting and standing dancers to learn ahead of time if they would like. This is an opportunity for you to prepare if it helps you, but no choreography is required to attend Friday Night Dance Party.
