All SPARK! programs are free for participants and care partners to attend together.

SPARK! is an arts and culture program for people with early to mid-stage memory loss and their care partners. Programs are designed to keep participants actively engaged in their communities by providing experiences that stimulate conversations, provide peer support, and inspire creativity through engaging workshops.

SPARK! facilitators undergo training with the SPARK! Alliance. AFA collaborates with the Dane County Aging & Disability Resource Center and other community partners and professionals to continually enhance programming.

Arts for All Wisconsin SPARK! programs take place on the first Friday of each month, from 10-11:30am at Warner Park Community Recreation Center, hosted by NewBridge.

Each 90-minute program is unique, including creative experiences in artmaking, drama, movement/dance, music, poetry, or storytelling.

"Because of my special interest in working for people with dementia and their care partners as First Lady, I am truly excited about SPARK! programming throughout Wisconsin and very much appreciate that Arts for All Wisconsin has stepped into the role of SPARK! provider for Dane County. Arts and cultural programs for people with Alzheimer's and Dementia are powerful and effective whole-person approaches to achieving better health and improved quality of life for Wisconsinites affected by this devastating disease, and I thank Arts for All Wisconsin for serving those affected by dementia as one element of the many arts opportunities they offer those in the disability community."

- Wisconsin First Lady, Kathy Evers

Person-Centered Care

At Arts for All Wisconsin, helping participants reach their personal goals is an important part of the work we do. In our classes and workshops, we practice person-centered care, an approach that emphasizes individuals' autonomy in making choices in order to fulfill their goals and needs.

Would you like to share your person-centered assessment and plan with us so that we might better assist you in meeting your goals? Please contact Jennie at jennie@artsforallwi.org for more information.

How do I get to my class?

Each class or workshop has the class meeting address listed in the online registration description, where you'll also find links to local public transportation options.
