Our Story

Arts for All Wisconsin, formerly known as Very Special Arts or VSA Wisconsin, is a statewide arts organization that serves children and adults with disabilities. Since 1985, we have been guided by our understanding that the arts build bridges between people, support physical and mental wellness, and celebrate diversity in our community. Our mission is to expand the capabilities, confidence, and quality of life for children and adults with disabilities by providing programs in dance, drama, creative writing, music, and visual art.

Our Programs

Arts for All Wisconsin offers programs in visual art, dance, music, and choir for children and adults with and without disabilities. We practice person-centered care, emphasizing individuals' autonomy in making choices to fulfill their goals and needs.

Additionally, we work with artists with disabilities to help them sell and display their art, creating space for them to professionalize their artistic endeavors. Annually, we hold calls for art, including our Creative Power Call for Art, encouraging Wisconsin artists with disabilities to share their creative power with their communities.

Our calendar shows when and where our diverse programs and events take place throughout the year.

Wellness Policy

Due to the contagious nature of airborne illnesses and their disproportionate impact on people with compromised immune systems and the elderly, masks are strongly encouraged during in-person programs for all who can comply. Masks will be provided. If you are experiencing cold or flu symptoms, please do not attend in-person programming. Many of AFA's programs offer virtual options. Please contact [email protected] if you have questions or for more information about accessing virtual programming.
