Maria Tordoff

Maria Tordoff (she/her) has been teaching dance classes since 2010. Her favorite styles of dance to teach are modern, jazz, musical theater, ballet, improvisation, somatic movement, and creative movement. She views teaching dance as a way to bring the community together. She believes that dance is for anyone who is interested and the practice should be made accessible for all. One of her favorite aspects of teaching is creating brave spaces for students to express themselves with their own authentic creativity and surprise themselves with their own physicality. Mostly, she loves the joy that dance can bring when people are moving together to their favorite song. When not teaching dance, she enjoys reading, taking frequent trips to the library, practicing yoga and pilates, and spending quality time with family and friends.
