Miriam Larsen

Miriam Larsen (she/her) began with Very Special Arts of WI in 1999 and has directed the Ranch choir, a middle school drumming troupe, led several artist in residence classes and has had the supreme pleasure of leading the Milwaukee Choir for at least 10 years, before and after the organizational name change to the Arts for All of WI. She has been providing music therapy services for adults with disabilities full-time in the LIFE Services Department at Milwaukee Centers for Independence for over 16 years and worked as a hospice MT for 11 years. As an alumna of Alverno College, she is pleased that the choir continues to collaborate with Alverno through the involvement of MT practicum students. She sang in a blues band and a cowgirl trio, and was once referred to as Milwaukee's Minstrel Maiden. She loves making and sharing in live music experiences!
