Exhibitions & Artists

ARTS for ALL Wisconsin represents artists with disabilities at multiple venues and community events to showcase and sell their art. 70% of proceeds go directly to the artist. From the annual Art Fair on the Square in Madison to Corporate and Community Exhibitions, ARTS for ALL Wisconsin facilitates exhibition and sales opportunities of exemplary, original artworks by artists with disabilities.

Exhibitions and sales events provide emerging artists with disabilities a boost to their self-esteem and self-worth, a means to grow towards independence and self-sufficiency, and to establish a larger sense of creative self that is distinct from their disability.

Exhibitions and sales events also provide the public with a strong and striking example of what people with disabilities can achieve in creating objects of beauty, imbued with meaning, and valued by others. From this standpoint, this art is an invaluable means of public education, disability awareness, and a bridge connecting the social divide between people of all abilities.

CREATIVE POWER Collection

Each spring, jurors select ten works of visual art from hundreds of submissions to our annual Call for Art to be added to the CREATIVE POWER Collection, an exhibition of 30 visual artworks that travel to libraries, galleries, and public buildings throughout the state each year (like the Miller Art Museum in Stugeon Bay, pictured at left). Each award-winning work spends three years as part of the CREATIVE POWER Exhibition.

Youth Collection

The AFA Youth Collection is made of dozens of works of art by young people with disabilites that we have collected over many years. It can be customized for venues based on size and space available.

"It continues to amaze me how much my artwork has taken off since associating with ARTS for ALL Wisconsin. It is such a wonderful experience that is a result of becoming labeled as an artist through AFA. I am now defined more than ever by my ability rather than disability."

- Dan Sullivan, AFA Artist and wood scupltor
