Arts Classes

 

Explore the creative arts through classes and workshops in visual art, movement and dance, drama, and music. Classes are taught by professional teaching artists.

A limited number of need-based scholarships are available through the generosity of ARTS for ALL Wisconsin sponsors. Contact us directly for more information or check our Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ).


Fall Classes (Sept 13 - Oct 22)

We are offering both VIRTUAL ZOOM and IN-PERSON classes at our Art Center this fall!
 
A VIEW-ONLY LIVESTREAM option is also available, as a stand alone choice or for In-Person participants unable to attend classes due to illness, transportation issues, weather, et cetera. All classes meet weekly for 6 weeks for $60. That's just $10 a class!

Watercolor Explorations VIRTUAL ZOOM

Visual Art with Susan

We will explore Fall images and watercolors. Subject matter will include fall foliage, colorful gourds, pumpkins and more.

Mono Prints VIRTUAL ZOOM

Visual Art with Laura

Learn how to make monoprints using everyday items found around the house. This is a “Creative Technique” class, designed for participants who enjoy in-depth explorations or structured lessons.

Mr. Mike's Music Club IN-PERSON and VIRTUAL ZOOM

Music with Mike

Let's all sing the songs we love! We'll do old favorites, new hits, seasonal songs, music to learn by and much more. We'll make new friends, watch fun videos together, and share our lives in song.

Soft Sculpture Creations VIRTUAL ZOOM

Visual Art with Patrizia

Students will create soft, tactile sculptures out of fabric, yarn, and other materials. We will explore different ways to manipulate materials to transform them from two-dimensional to 3D!

Each class limited to 8 participants

All in-person participants, teaching artists, and other regularly attending people are required to:

  • show proof of vaccination against COVID in person or at registration
  • wear masks when indoors unless prohibited by disability

Music Exploration IN-PERSON

Join us for this joyful journey in music exploration! We will sing and use homemade instruments to connect with one another and make music together.

Participants will have the opportunity to dance together (virtually) to their favorite music. The class will begin with the structure to warm up and provide opportunity for creative expression and exploration.

Each week we will explore a new approach, combining materials in novel ways with collage, printing, or carving. Each class will incorporate a combination of materials to create unexpected results.
