Arts Classes

Explore the creative arts through classes and workshops in visual art, movement/dance, drama and music. Classes are taught by professional teaching artists. Join us for classes in visual arts including watercolors, acrylic painting, mixed media sculpting and photography and music and movement classes including drumming, singing, dancing, exploring a large variety of musical instruments and props, and much, much more!

Virtual Fall Classes

Early Childhood (Ages 3 -6)

Offering young children the opportunity to engage with the arts through play and exploration appropriate to their age and developmental level. Caregivers are encouraged to attend with their child.

Music Makers, Movers, Shakers with Deb

These music sessions will include singing, instruments, movement and more! The music and fun will encourage Pre-K and K students in exploring their worlds and developing new skills appropriate to their age and developmental level.

Sing with Me! Dance with Me! with Junko

Explore and have fun with music and movement! We will find things around our homes that we can use to make music as we sing together and wiggle out our bodies!

Middle/High School (Ages 10 - 16)

These high-interest arts experiences create opportunity for engagement outside the demands of the school day. Students will connect with one another and extend beyond themselves within a supportive and adaptive environment.

Mandala Magic with Patrizia

Mandalas are used in many different practices as a calming and therapeutic shape. In these times that feel so disquieting, we will explore a variety of visual art activities using the circle as our main language. We will explore mandalas made out of a wide variety of materials and techniques including: Collage, painting, printing, sculpture, yarn bombing, and weaving.

Adult (Ages 16+)

Participants will have the chance to experience new methods of self-expression or revisit old skills in a range of arts disciplines. Classes offer many accessibility supports to ensure equitable participation.

Drum Circle with Jim

Jim will lead you in rhythm fun! We will use items from around our homes for drum games and shaker fun along with popular music. Themes for rhythms revolve around popular and fun subjects!

Sing Along Music with Mike

Experience the enjoyment and engagement of music together. We will create positive social interaction and space for sharing, augmented by music, and focused on fun!

Imaginary Dwellings with Patrizia

We are trapped in our homes, with limited access to entertainment. What could be better than imagining places to escape! We will work with found materials like yarn, fabric, and paint to create 3D objects that represent those imaginary places.

Dance Party! with Luv

This class will focus on creative movement. We will start with a guided warm up and then class will progress as participants are encouraged to create their own movements and dance phrases. Participants will have the opportunity to choose the music used in the class, and to watch and learn from each other.

Writing to Heal and Transform with Beth

This is a basic level journaling adventure. We will use weekly prompts to slow down thinking and get in touch with being by writing, breathing, and awakening with a new lens to experience the awe and wonder around us.
