Call For Poetry

2023 Guidelines

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

  • All submissions must be original, previously unpublished works of poetry.
  • Poems can be of any length on the theme of grief.
  • Submissions must include a brief bio and artist statement.
  • Wisconsin residents over the age of 5 who identify as having a disability may submit.
  • Poems may be submitted in any language, but must include an English translation if not written in English.
  • Poems should be submitted in a Word document or PDF format, with the poet's name, contact information, and title of the poem included in the document.
  • Only two poems per person may be submitted. Please submit each poem as a separate document.
  • We do not accept simultaneous submissions. Please let us know if your poem is accepted elsewhere before the final decision.
  • By submitting your work, you confirm that the work is your own and that you have the rights to submit it for publication.
  • Wisconsin residents over the age of 5 who identify as having a disability may submit.
  • No documentation or disclosure of disability is necessary to participate.
  • Age Categories are:
    • Child (ages 5-10)
    • Youth (ages 11-15)
    • Young Adult (ages 16-21)
    • Adult (ages 22+)
